Budget decides most of this list. Under $1 per GB you get Evomi and DataImpulse, cheap enough for image-heavy pages but light on session details. Around $3.50 to $4 you get Proxy-Seller, Decodo and Bright Data’s promo rate, with trials and sticky options. At $6 to $7 for small buys, Oxylabs and IPRoyal document sessions of 24 hours and 7 days. Here are the best proxies for Puppeteer and Playwright, ranked for browser work. ProxyAdvice earns a commission on some links here at no extra cost to you.
The best proxies for Puppeteer and Playwright in 2026 are Decodo, Oxylabs and Proxy-Seller. Decodo starts at $3.75 per GB with a 3-day trial and sticky sessions from minutes to days. Oxylabs lists unlimited concurrent sessions and sticky IPs for up to 1,440 minutes. Proxy-Seller advertises about 0.35 s response and says it works natively with both frameworks.
It’s a proxy that can hold one IP for a whole browser session, accepts a login your framework can pass, and doesn’t charge so much per GB that page assets eat the budget. Residential proxies (IPs from real home connections) fit most sites. The best-for map: Decodo overall, Oxylabs for scale, Proxy-Seller for speed, DataImpulse on a budget and IPRoyal for long sessions.
Puppeteer and Playwright both drive real Chromium, so a site sees everything a browser sends: the page request, then every script, image, font and API call it triggers. That’s why sessions matter more here than for a plain HTTP scraper. If those requests leave from different IPs, the site sees one visitor jumping between addresses mid-page.
Both frameworks take the same four proxy details: host, port, username and password. Playwright’s docs show a proxy set for the whole browser or for each browser context, with a username and password for HTTP(S) proxies. Puppeteer’s BrowserContextOptions takes a proxyServer per context and says the username and password are set with page.authenticate.
Not every browser job needs residential IPs. Sites that don’t block cloud ranges work with the best datacenter proxies at a lower cost, and if blocks are the real problem, hosted browsers may fit better: see our cloud browsers for AI scraping.
Short version: Decodo to start, Oxylabs to scale, DataImpulse to save.
Each one wins on a single thing a browser job needs: a trial, documented sessions, low latency, cheap gigabytes or very long sessions. The scores weight sessions and price per GB highest, 25% each. Here’s the short case before the full reviews.
Both take a host and port, then a login in a separate place. The code below sets one sticky proxy per browser context in Playwright and one per browser in Puppeteer. Both samples were run on October 30, 2026 against local test proxies with a login.
from playwright.sync_api import sync_playwright
with sync_playwright() as p:
browser = p.chromium.launch()
context = browser.new_context(proxy={
"server": "http://HOST:PORT",
"username": "USERNAME",
"password": "PASSWORD",
})
page = context.new_page()
page.goto("https://api.ipify.org")
print(page.text_content("body"))
browser.close()
import puppeteer from 'puppeteer';
const browser = await puppeteer.launch({ args: ['--proxy-server=http://HOST:PORT'] });
const page = await browser.newPage();
await page.authenticate({ username: 'USERNAME', password: 'PASSWORD' });
await page.goto('https://api.ipify.org');
console.log(await page.evaluate(() => document.body.innerText));
await browser.close();
Save the Puppeteer sample as check.mjs and run node check.mjs. For several proxies in one Puppeteer browser, browser.createBrowserContext({ proxyServer: ‘http://HOST:PORT’ }) gives each context its own proxy, with page.authenticate on each page.

Sticky per context, login in the right field, and block what you don’t need.

Decodo is the best all-round proxy for Puppeteer and Playwright on the pages read. Plans start at 3 GB for $11.25, the FAQ describes a 3-day trial with 100MB, and sticky sessions run from minutes to days. It advertises 99.92% success and under 0.5 s response. The catch: its page names no Puppeteer or Playwright guide.

To get started, take the 3-day trial, open the dashboard and copy the user, password and the gate.decodo.com endpoint on port 7000 that the page’s Python sample uses. Pass those three values to Playwright’s proxy option or to Puppeteer’s launch flag and page.authenticate. Choose a sticky session for any job that logs in.
Browser work burns gigabytes, so the tiers matter. The page lists $3.50 per GB at 10 GB, $2.75 at 100 GB and $2 at 1,000 GB, with pay as you go at $4. Continent, country, state, city, ZIP and ASN targeting are all included, which saves a second bill when a site checks location.
The page lists HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, and IP whitelisting in the dashboard. That matters for browsers: Chrome won’t take a login in its proxy flag, so an allowlisted server IP is the simplest route when your framework can’t pass credentials. A concurrency limit isn’t stated, so ask before you run hundreds of contexts.
| Plan | Price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 GB | $11.25 a month | 3 GB | $3.75 |
| 25 GB | $81.25 a month | 25 GB | $3.25 |
| 100 GB | $275 a month | 100 GB | $2.75 |
| 1,000 GB | $2,000 a month | 1,000 GB | $2.00 |
| Pay as you go | No commitment | Any | $4.00 |
Prices exclude VAT. The trial isn’t covered by the 14-day money-back guarantee. The page claims the #1 response time in the market without naming a source.
Verdict: Best for most Puppeteer and Playwright jobs; not ideal if you need a written concurrency limit. Read the full Decodo review →
Oxylabs is the pick for large browser fleets. Its residential page lists unlimited concurrent sessions, 175M+ IPs and integration guides for Selenium, Puppeteer and Playwright, and its session docs hold an IP for up to 1,440 minutes. It advertises 99.95% success. The weak spot is small-volume price: $6 per GB up to 5 GB.

To get started, use the $5 welcome credit, create a proxy user, and point the browser at pr.oxylabs.io:7777. Each request gets a new IP by default. For a browser context that must keep one address, add sessid and a random string to the username, as in customer-USERNAME-sessid-abcd1234.
Sessions are better documented here than anywhere else in this list. The session control page says a session lasts 10 minutes by default, or ends after 60 seconds without requests, and sesstime extends it up to 1,440 minutes. Give each Playwright context its own sessid and you get one stable IP per context.
Price falls with volume: $5 per GB up to 20 GB, $4 up to 125 GB and $2.50 from 1,000 GB. Plans start at $30 a month and Enterprise at $2,500. The page lists 3 proxy users and 10 whitelisted IPs, plus HTTP(S), HTTP3 and SOCKS5, and free targeting down to ZIP, coordinates and ASN.
| Plan | Price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 5 GB | Pay as you go | Up to 5 GB | $6.00 |
| Up to 20 GB | Pay as you go | Up to 20 GB | $5.00 |
| Up to 125 GB | Pay as you go | Up to 125 GB | $4.00 |
| 1K+ GB | Pay as you go | 1,000 GB and up | $2.50 |
| Enterprise | From $2,500 a month | Custom | Custom |
The residential page lists sticky sessions but no maximum; the 1,440-minute figure comes from Oxylabs’ session control docs. The page shows 0.41 s in one section and 0.6 s in another.
Verdict: Best for big parallel browser runs; not ideal for a 2 GB side project. Read the full Oxylabs review →

Proxy-Seller says its residential proxies work natively with Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium and Scrapy, and it advertises the lowest response time here, about 0.35 s. Sessions are unlimited, with rotation by time or by request and session TTL controls. The catch: traffic lasts 30 days, and no maximum sticky time is stated.

To get started, buy the Test plan at $3.50 per GB, add code GOTO15OFF at checkout, then pick username and password or IP allowlisting in the dashboard. Set rotation to by time for browser work, so a page and all its scripts load through one IP, and use the session TTL control to match your longest flow.
Volume plans start from $1.45 per GB and Enterprise from $0.3 per GB, both custom-sized. Every plan expires after 30 days, so buy for the month you’ll run, not the quarter. A replacement or refund is possible within 24 hours of purchase, according to the FAQ.
The page lists HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5, and says SOCKS5 can carry UDP and QUIC with a UDP-capable client. Targeting covers country, state, city and ISP. It advertises 99.5% success and a 1 Gbps channel, from a 47M+ pool in 220+ locations.
| Plan | Price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Test | Pay per GB | Valid 30 days | $3.50 |
| Volume | Custom size | Valid 30 days | From $1.45 |
| Enterprise | Custom, premium SLA | Custom | From $0.30 |
An uptime of 99.7% appears only in the page’s meta description, not in its body, so it isn’t used here.
Verdict: Best for fast, month-long browser runs; not ideal if gigabytes must last longer than 30 days. Read the full Proxy-Seller review →

DataImpulse is the cheapest proxy here that names Puppeteer, Playwright and Selenium on its residential page. It charges $1 per GB with no subscription, and unused gigabytes never expire. Both login and IP authorization are listed. You give up speed: about 1 second per response, as advertised, and no sticky session length.

To get started, buy the Intro plan, 5 GB for $5, then copy the login and password for gw.dataimpulse.com on port 823 from the dashboard. In Playwright, put them in the proxy’s username and password fields; in Puppeteer, use the launch flag for the host and page.authenticate for the login.
At $1 per GB, a browser job that loads 50 GB a month costs $50 on the Basic plan, and the Advanced plan lowers the rate to $0.80 per GB at $800 for 1 TB. That’s the strongest case for DataImpulse with Puppeteer: browsers pull images, fonts and scripts, and cheap gigabytes absorb that waste.
The trade-offs are precision and pace. Country targeting is free, but city, ASN and ZIP cost extra, per the comparison table. Sticky and rotating sessions are both offered, with no duration given. The page lists HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, a 90M+ pool in 195+ countries and a 7-day refund policy.
| Plan | Price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intro (new customers) | $5, one time | 5 GB | $1.00 |
| Basic | $50 | 50 GB | $1.00 |
| Advanced | $800 | 1 TB | $0.80 |
| Custom+ | From $4,000 | 5 TB and up | Custom |
The page gives about 1 s as the headline response time but shows under 500 ms and under 0.5 s in two use-case sections. This list uses the headline figure.
Verdict: Best for cheap browser traffic; not ideal if you need long, documented sticky sessions. Read the full DataImpulse review →

IPRoyal holds a sticky IP for up to 7 days, the longest stated in this list, and its traffic never expires. The page lists integration guides for Puppeteer and Playwright, unlimited concurrent sessions and a free trial. The drawback is entry price: 1 GB costs $7 on subscription, the dearest small buy here.

To get started, start the free trial or buy 1 GB, then generate a proxy with a sticky session and the lifetime you need, up to 7 days. Use one sticky proxy per Playwright context or Puppeteer browser, so each logged-in account keeps its own address for the whole week.
The page says you can rotate on every request or keep one IP for up to 7 days, and switch IPs by hand in the dashboard or through the API. For browser automation, that manual switch is useful when one account gets flagged and you want a fresh IP without touching code.
Price drops fast after the first gigabyte: $5.95 at 2 GB and $5.25 at 10 GB on subscription, then $1.75 from 10 TB. Pay as you go adds about 5%. The page lists HTTP(S) and SOCKS5, 99.4% success, about 0.5 s response and 99.9% uptime, with country, state and city targeting.
| Plan | Price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 GB | Subscription | 1 GB | $7.00 |
| 2 GB | Subscription | 2 GB | $5.95 |
| 10 GB | Subscription | 10 GB | $5.25 |
| Custom | From 10 TB | 10,000 GB and up | $1.75 |
| 1 GB | Pay as you go | 1 GB | $7.35 |
The residential page lists IP whitelisting and sub-users but doesn’t mention username and password proxy authentication, so check the dashboard before building a Puppeteer flow around a login.
Verdict: Best for browser accounts that must hold one IP for days; not ideal for heavy, image-rich crawling on a budget. Read the full IPRoyal review →

Bright Data has the largest pool in this list, 400M+ IPs, with country, state, city and ZIP targeting included. For Puppeteer and Playwright, its pricing page also links a Browser API at $5 per GB, described as remote browsers with stealth included. The catch: $4 per GB is a 3-month promo against an $8 list price.

To get started on residential proxies, start the free trial, then apply code RESIGB50 for 50% off for 3 months. Copy the host, port and login from the dashboard into Playwright’s proxy option or Puppeteer’s launch flag and page.authenticate, as with any provider here. Budget for the $8 list price once the promo ends.
The other route is the Browser API. Instead of running Chrome on your own server with a proxy, you connect Puppeteer or Playwright to a browser Bright Data hosts. The pricing page lists it at $5 per GB with stealth included. It’s worth a look if blocks, not IPs, are your main problem.
Monthly plans start at $499 for 141 GB, $4 per GB under the promo and $7 at list, and drop to $3 per GB on the $999 and $1,999 plans. The page offers a first-deposit match of up to $500. It doesn’t state concurrency, a sticky session length or a success rate; it lists Extended Session Control and SOCKS5.
| Plan | Price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pay as you go | No commitment | Any | $4 promo, $8 list |
| $499 a month | Monthly | 141 GB | $4 promo, $7 list |
| $999 a month | Monthly | 332 GB | $3 promo, $6 list |
| $1,999 a month | Monthly | 798 GB | $3 promo, $5 list |
| Above 1 TB | Contact sales | Custom | Custom |
The 99.99% uptime SLA applies to the Enterprise tier only. The page says trial traffic isn’t billed but gives no trial length.
Verdict: Best for hosted browsers and the biggest pool; not ideal for a fixed small budget after the promo. Read the full Bright Data review →

Evomi lists the lowest residential rate in this list: $0.49 per GB on a 100 GB monthly plan, with unlimited concurrent sessions on its rotating pools. For browsers that pull heavy pages, that price stands out. It ranks last because the page gives no sticky length, no speed figures and no Puppeteer or Playwright notes for residential.

To get started, take the free trial on the Core Residential plan and cancel before it ends if you don’t want the $49 a month that follows. Use one endpoint for HTTP, HTTPS or SOCKS5. In Playwright, set the proxy per context, and use a sticky session for any flow that logs in.
Pay as you go costs $0.99 per GB from 15 GB, down to $0.79 from 1,000 GB, and that data doesn’t expire. Premium Residential costs $3.98 per GB pay as you go, or as low as $2.20 on the largest plans. Country, city, region and ISP targeting are included at no extra cost.
Puppeteer and Playwright appear on the pricing page only under Evomi’s Scraping Browser, a separate product. The refund window is 30 days but capped at 10% of your data or 1 GB, whichever is smaller. The page lists 54M+ IPs and doesn’t state how logins work.
| Plan | Price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core monthly | $49 a month | 100 GB | $0.49 |
| Core pay as you go | From 15 GB | No expiry | $0.99 |
| Core pay as you go | From 1,000 GB | No expiry | $0.79 |
| Premium pay as you go | No commitment | Any | $3.98 |
Authentication isn’t described on the pricing page, and the residential docs page read for this article didn’t list the endpoint or session format.
Verdict: Best for cheap, high-volume rotating crawls; not ideal for logged-in browser sessions.

Four setups cover most Puppeteer and Playwright work. Choose by whether you log in, how many browsers run at once, and how heavy the pages are.
We read each provider’s residential page on October 30, 2026, plus Oxylabs’ session control docs, and wrote down what they state. Scores weight session control and price per GB at 25% each, because browsers hold sessions and load heavy pages. The setup code was run on the same day against local test proxies with a login: Playwright for Python and Puppeteer 24. Nobody here benchmarked the providers. Compare picks with independent proxy ratings on ProxyRates, or browse all proxy rankings. Scores are our editorial rating built from published prices, features and terms.
